  Brent crude futures rose $1.33, or 1.34%, to $100.58 a barrel by 1303 GMT while West Texas Intermediate futures gained 65 cents, or 0.72%, to $91.17.
  
  The Brent benchmark hit its lowest since September 8 in the previous session at $97.36. WTI touched its lowest since September 1 earlier on Wednesday.
  
  Meanwhile, European low-sulphur gasoil’s premium to Brent crude futures hit a record of about $95 a barrel after U.S. President Donald Trump said he backed the idea of a diesel export ban to lower prices that have hit record highs owing to a global supply shortage.
  
  Europe has been highly dependent on diesel and jet fuel imports from the United States since the US-Israeli war on Iran has disrupted Middle East supplies.
  
  "Brent is being underpinned by surging gasoil prices amid renewed worries the US may introduce a diesel export ban," said Ole Hansen, head of commodity strategy at Saxo Bank.
  
  Analysts and market watchers, however, have warned that such a measure would do little to ease high energy prices and could worsen supply and economic disruptions around the globe.
  
  Oil prices have come under pressure this week on rising Gulf supplies and hopes for diplomatic talks to halt hostilities in the Middle East.
  
  Trump warned on Tuesday that he could "annihilate" Iran, but he also said his envoys had held productive talks with mediators of Iran to end the war.
  
  "The only news that is worth focusing on from a lower price point is the reopening of the East-West Saudi pipeline," Hansen added.
  
  Saudi Arabia resumed operations on its East-West Pipeline to the Red Sea on Tuesday, said three sources briefed on the matter.
  
  Drone attacks, which Saudi Arabia has blamed on Iraqi militia, forced the kingdom to shut the pipeline on September 11, halting crude loadings at Yanbu port.
  
  Saudi Arabia on Tuesday offered more barrels to Asian refiners for lifting from locations outside of the Strait of Hormuz.
  
  Iraq, too, is increasing oil exports, its oil minister said on Tuesday. The country is exporting more than 3 million bpd, he said, and expects to boost exports via Turkey to more than 600,000 barrels per day.
  
  Meanwhile, further supporting the improved supply outlook, a senior Iranian official told Reuters that the Strait of Hormuz could reopen within seven days if the United States eases military pressure and lifts its blockade on Iranian ports.
  
  Adding to downward pressure on oil prices, industry data showed that US crude inventories rose by 1.8 million barrels in the week to September 18. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected a decline. [API/S]

  The decline was primarily driven by an approximately 11% drop in the front-month Dutch TTF Natural Gas contract over the week. TTF is Europe’s benchmark gas price.
  
  “Prices for natural gas and LNG in Europe… were dragged lower by the fall in crude oil prices,” said ANZ Bank’s senior commodity strategist Daniel Hynes.
  
  Despite Europe’s competition with Asia for LNG and the Middle East situation impacting supply remaining key supporting factors, European LNG prices subsequently corrected lower, according to Mind Energy.
  
  The research firm described the decline as a “pullback [that] seems of a rather technical nature following the most recent rally.”
  
  “We open with price falls… in the wake of the growing hopes that the peace talks in the Middle East could resume soon,” Mind Energy added.
  
  Milder weather across Europe has also recently limited gas demand, Mind Energy said.
  
  “In Europe, preliminary data suggests that industrial gas demand already dropped by more than 5% yoy since May,” said International Energy Agency (IEA) gas analyst Greg Molnár, adding to the downward pressure on the benchmark.
  
  Singapore
  
  Singapore’s LNG bunker price surged by $130/mt over the past week to $1,667/mt, reversing its previous discount to Rotterdam. Singapore now trades at a $179/mt premium to Rotterdam, as prices in Singapore rose while those in Rotterdam declined.
  
  Singapore’s LNG bunker prices typically follow the front-month NYMEX Japan/Korea Marker (JKM). The JKM has climbed by $2.62/MMBtu, equivalent to $136/mt, to $27.51/MMBtu ($1,431/mt).
  
  The escalation of the Middle East conflict has heightened concerns over natural gas supply in both Asian and European markets. North Asian LNG prices jumped on expectations that Qatar’s supply curtailments could persist for the foreseeable future, according to ANZ Bank’s Daniel Hynes.
  
  North Asian LNG prices have also been supported by strong buying interest. Thailand, Pakistan and Bangladesh are reportedly prepared to sign long-term LNG supply contracts with US exporters, Hynes added.
  
  In other LNG bunker news, classification society Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) has granted an Approval in Principle (AiP) to a liquefied CO2 carrier developed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI).
  
  Classification society Korean Register (KR) and South Korea’s Hanwha Ocean have partnered to jointly develop two design concepts for an 18,000-cbm LNG bunkering vessel (LNGBV).
  
  Taiwanese container shipping company Yang Ming has launched a new LNG dual-fuel container vessel.
  
  Classification society DNV and ship registry Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry (LISCR) have approved a 12,000-cbm LNG bunkering vessel concept developed by South Korea’s HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HD HHI).
  
  DNV has also approved an LNG dual-fuel carrier design developed by HD HHI.
  
  Classification society American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has approved the concept design of a 22,000-cbm LNG bunkering vessel developed by Hanwha Power, part of South Korea’s Hanwha Group.

  Brent crude futures fell $1.09, or 1.1%, to $98.16 a barrel as of 0421 GMT while West Texas Intermediate futures fell $1.50, or 1.67%, to $89.01 per barrel.
  
  Both contracts have declined for six consecutive sessions to around two-week lows.
  
  While US President Donald Trump warned on Tuesday that he could "annihilate" Iran, he also said his envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner had held productive talks with mediators of Iran to end the war.
  
  "I think there’s a lot of momentum for them to make a deal," Trump said.
  
  Optimism around improved supply and a push to end the nearly seven-month conflict drove benchmark Brent down to close below $100 a barrel on Tuesday for the first time since September 8.
  
  “The market is currently feeling more constructive about the global oil supply picture than it was a few weeks ago,” said Tim Waterer, chief analyst at KCM Trade.
  
  “The meeting of US and Iranian delegations in New York has given traders a glimmer of hope ... Despite the continued tough rhetoric, including threats of ‘annihilation,’ the market is choosing to price in the possibility of talks.”
  
  On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia restarted operations on its East-West Pipeline to the Red Sea, three sources briefed on the matter said, with signs of an increase in Middle Eastern oil flows.
  
  Drone attacks, which Saudi Arabia has blamed on Iraqi militia, forced the kingdom to shut the pipeline on September 11, halting crude loadings at the kingdom’s Yanbu port.
  
  Since the US-Israeli war on Iran disrupted oil flows from Saudi Arabia and its Gulf neighbours through the Strait of Hormuz, Riyadh has been using the pipeline to reroute around 4 million barrels per day — around 4% of global supply — to Yanbu.
  
  Saudi on Tuesday also offered more barrels to Asian refiners for lifting from locations outside of the Strait of Hormuz.
  
  Iraq, too, is increasing oil exports, its oil minister, Basim Mohammed, said on Tuesday. The country is exporting more than 3 million bpd, he said, and expects to boost exports via Turkey to more than 600,000 bpd.
  
  Provisional data from shiptracking firms Vortexa and Kpler pegged Iraqi crude exports in August at 2.3 million and 2.17 million bpd, respectively, up from July’s level but below February’s pre-war level of 3.7 million and 3.362 million bpd.

  As of Sep. 22, the MABUX Market Differential Index (MDI), which measures the spread between Market Bunker Prices (MBP) and the MABUX Digital Bunker Benchmark (DBP), registered the following dynamics across the four major global bunkering hubs—Rotterdam, Singapore, Fujairah, and Houston:
  
  • HSFO segment: Fujairah remained the only overvalued port, with its MDI premium increasing by $10. The other three hubs were undervalued. MDI discounts declined by $12 in Rotterdam, $20 in Singapore, and $36 in Houston. Undervaluation in both Rotterdam and Houston continued to stay above the $100 mark.
  
  • VLSFO segment: Fujairah remained the only overvalued port, with its MDI premium increasing by $25. The other three hubs were undervalued. The MDI discount narrowed by $6 in Rotterdam, $27 in Singapore and $23 in Houston. Rotterdam’s undervaluation and Fujairah’s overvaluation remained above the $100 mark.
  
  • MGO LS segment: Fujairah shifted into the overcharge zone, becoming the only overpriced port in this bunker segment, with its MDI premium increasing by $53. The other three ports remained undervalued. MDI discounts narrowed by $43 in Rotterdam, $43 in Singapore , and $40 in Houston. Undervaluation in Rotterdam and Singapore remained above the $100 threshold, while Houston fell below this level. Fujairah’s MDI moved close to the 100% correlation mark between MBP and DBP, indicating a near-balanced market valuation.
  
  MABUX expects the global bunker market to extend its moderate downward correction on Sep. 23, supported by reports of a possible reopening of the Strait of Hormuz:
  380 HSFO: minus 3-10 USD/MT, VLSFO: minus 5-15 USD/MT, MGO LS: plus-minus 3–10 USD/MT.
